Hag Al Laila is a traditional celebration in the UAE and takes place on the night of the 15th of Sha'ban, the eighth month of the Islamic lunar calendar.
During Hag al Laila, children dress up in traditional costumes and go door-to-door in their neighborhoods, singing songs and reciting poetry. In return, they receive treats and small gifts from their neighbors. Hag al Laila is seen as a way to celebrate and promote community spirit, as well as to teach children about their cultural and religious heritage. It is a festive occasion enjoyed by families and communities, particularly children who eagerly participate in the tradition.
