Age Criteria and Grade Placement
According to the UAE Ministry of Education Resolution no (24), children enrolling in Pre-KG in American schools in Dubai starting in September must be 3 years of age by August 31 of that academic year. Students entering KG1 must be 4 years of age by August 31 of that year.
If you are unsure about your child’s grade placement, please refer to the age placement guide below as a guideline for which grade to apply. Your child should have reached the corresponding age for the desired grade by the cut-off date mentioned in the guide and have a corresponding transfer certificate.
